2025 marks 15 years since UTB launched into the asset finance market. Since day-1 we’ve believed the key to success is in building lasting partnerships with a long-term commitment to supporting brokers and their customers. The industry has evolved, there have been many challenges along the way and whilst funders have come and gone, we’ve always tried to be reliable and reassuringly constant. With a nod to one of my other passions, building a sustainable business is a marathon, not a sprint.
We’ve grown at a sensible pace while staying true to what sets us apart: a focus on strong and trusted relationships, investment in great people with outstanding knowledge and expertise and investment in what we call ‘people-powered’ technology – a digital revolution which enables us to spend more valuable time talking to brokers, creating solutions and delivering outstanding outcomes, and less time on repetitive admin tasks for both you and us. We’ve had tremendously positive feedback so far and we’re only getting started.
This year we will continue to develop our support to brokers and build upon the specialist knowledge we have in refinance, high value cars, mid-ticket, agricultural, construction and flow business, including the wider range of asset types we’ll now fund for manufacturing and engineering businesses, medical and media professions. We will continue to encourage direct communication with our underwriters and be releasing yet more enhancements to our digital processing to help give faster decisions, slicker admin and speedy payouts.
