Business Development Manager | Bridging Finance

A new opportunity to work in our Bridging Property Finance team where you will develop and introduce Bridging loans to the Bank from existing and new broker accounts. Principally this is done via regular visits, telephone, and online interaction with introducers in the North of England including the East & West Midlands.

Role Purpose: 

To develop and introduce Bridging loans to the Bank from existing and new broker accounts. Principally this is done via regular visits, telephone, and online interaction with introducers in an allocated region.

Responsibilities: 

Business Development

  • Work closely with the HOS to support the management and growth of the overall region.
  • Plan and maintain a strategic diary of appointments to develop credible and trust-based relationships with introducer base.
  • Actively seek and grow new sources of business from inbound enquiry, requests for United Trust Bank broker registration, existing contracts, industry journals and elsewhere.
  • Maximise bridging sales from introducer base by building relationships, identifying competitive advantage and other opportunities such as product innovation.
  • Analysis of Property business levels to identify opportunities and manage any decreasing business from introducers.
  • Work to and achieve agreed sales targets and additional KPI’s on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Attendance at exhibitions, workshops, seminars and other opportunities as required.

Knowledge 

  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of UTB’s Property products and service.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of Property competitors and UTB’s competitive advantages.

Account Management 

  • Maintain high levels of customer service and exceed expectations wherever possible.
  • Ensure that introducers are serviced efficiently with any problems resolved swiftly.

Reporting 

  • Record all contacts and details of meetings on the Bank’s CRM system.
  • Presentation of sales figures and achievements through Bank’s MI data.

General 

  • Any matters required to be done to assist in the achievement of the Bank’s budget and business development plans

Skills and Experience Sought:

  • Bridging & Property BDM background preferred, however will consider other BDM backgrounds within the financial services sector such as Buy to Lets and Commercial. Experience can be from an internal or external previous role.
  • Ability to communicate on different levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • A good team player, willingness to help their team to achieve its goals.
  • Commitment to high level of customer service.
  • Strong use of MI and CRM systems.
  • Professional communications skills, able to communicate with businesses and colleagues by telephone, email and face to face.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment.
  • Liaising with Introducers and/or external customers.
  • Highly motivated individual, committed to providing outstanding service to customers and clients.
