Interim Marketing Manager

This is a Fixed Term Contract (6 months) with possibility of conversion to perm.

Hybrid work pattern – 3 days in the office (City of London) location and 2 days working from home. 

Role Purpose:

  • The Marketing Manager will provide marketing support to the organisation, primarily in Deposits, but supporting Lending and Internal Communications activities as a member of the broader marketing team.
  • The role will support the Marketing Director and key divisions within UTB with a focus on the Deposits Team, for industry events, corporate entertainment, social media, data management and coordination of activities.
  • The role will also work with our external Marketing agency and assist in the coordination of internal and external marketing initiatives and projects. This role is accountable for supporting the Marketing Director and the Marketing function in preparing and analysing marketing MI including reporting, budgeting and data analysis

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the marketing initiatives, primarily for Deposits which include:
    • Advertising and Email Marketing Campaigns
    • Newsletters, surveys, case studies and press releases
    • UTB website and social media
    • Company brochures, printed stationery and corporate gifts
    • Supporting internal and external attendance at industry shows and awards events
    • Maintenance of Broker and customer databases
  • Work with the Events Manager to deliver Deposits event management
  • Responsible for maintaining the Marketing Manual and related processes
  • Create presentations as required to support the Marketing Director in developing and updating the marketing strategy
  • Accountable for marketing budget and data analysis to support key decisions
  • Represent the Marketing Director by preparing presentations and, as required, presenting to senior leaders
  • Involvement in strategy sprints with departments, supporting the Marketing Director as required
  • Accountable for collating and analysing marketing MI, providing on- time analysis and reports to the Marketing Director
  • Cover and support key projects and activities to ensure successful team delivery in all circumstances
  • Manage Marketing reporting, budget spreadsheets and provide regular information to the Marketing Director 
  • Maintaining action log with agency and chase outstanding items from UTB or agency
  • Provide social media support as required
  • Understand and adhere to UTB’s Compliance and sign-off procedures

Skills and Experience sought:

  • Marketing degree or qualification preferred
  • Previous marketing experience in Financial Services, Insurance or Banking
  • Marketing data interpretation and reporting
  • Liaising with key stakeholders such as Finance and HR
  • Advanced MS Word, PowerPoint, and Intermediate Excel skills level
  • Ability to understand key customer segments and design campaigns for these segments using insights and data
  • Ability to organise and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage third parties i.e. PR Company
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
