Job description
This is a hybrid role working 1 to 2 days peer week in the office and the rest from home.
Role Purpose:
- Lead and manage bank-wide data projects for Mortgages
- Strengthen data architecture
- Ensure data quality and accuracy
- Enhance operational efficiency
- Deliver comprehensive reporting
- Support team development
Responsibilities:
- Support the transition of data and reporting to EOS, ensuring minimal business disruptions
- Establish best practices for data quality management across Mortgages projects
- Monitor and resolve project-related data issues promptly to meet project deadlines
- Maintain a deep understanding of the bank’s data architecture and systems
- Implement measures to ensure data completeness across Mortgage systems
- Work with IT teams to enhance the reliability of the data infrastructure
- Develop and implement strategies for ensuring data consistency and reliability
- Perform detailed analysis to identify discrepancies in datasets
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data accuracy benchmarks
- Regularly audit reports to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Address and resolve data-related technical challenges effectively
- Identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual efforts
- Streamline reporting processes to improve delivery timelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their unique requirements
- Propose innovative solutions to improve departmental workflows
- Document process improvements for future reference and scalability
- Create and maintain regular reporting packs with a focus on accuracy and relevance
- Generate ad hoc reports tailored to immediate business needs
- Update and refine existing reports to align with current objectives
- Provide insights from reports to support data-driven decision-making
- Ensure timely delivery of all reporting requirements
- Support team members to enhance their technical expertise in Power BI and related tools
- Provide training on new tools, processes, and best practices
- Foster a collaborative environment to encourage knowledge sharing
- Offer guidance on troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques
Skills and Experience sought:
- 5yrs previous Data Analyst experience
- Production and analysis of MI, ideally in a regulated environment
- Managing and prioritising own workload
- Intermediate to expert experience of PowerBI, Google BigQuery and EOS
- Expert experience with SQL
