This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office (City of London location) and 2 days working from home.

Role Purpose: 

• Support operations team in working through the pay-out queue.
• Process improvement – review existing UTB AF processes and deliver improvements in line with industry best practice for broker facing AF lenders
• Customer due diligence specialist.   Expert within AF for CDD / AML bump ups.   Liaise with 2nd line financial crime to ensure our processes are fit for purpose
• Build out QA framework and deliver monthly QA testing.  Improve processes and deliver team training if gaps in knowledge identified.
• Close alignment to Head of Specialist BD for operational oversight and pay out of large value and specialist transactions

Responsibilities:

• Support the operations team in managing workload
• To carry out contract validation, customer due diligence and other related processing tasks in line with current business policies, key internal controls and any program specific nuances
• Ensure all New Business Agreements are reviewed and executed within given timescales
• Ensure the accuracy use and recording of data in UTB IT systems so as to maintain high quality portfolio data
• Take ownership of contract related problems and use resolution skills in order to progress the New Business Agreement as quickly as possible, ensuring a high level of attention to detail and communication while maintaining a professional attitude to all stakeholders
• Support the AF Operations manager in delivering a robust QA framework
• Support the AF Operations manager in delivering process improvements to support the planned growth by implementing best in market processes for the distribution of asset finance via brokers
• Become operations expert for large value and specialist transactions
• Ensure all Key controls are adhered to including working within the current signature list, clear desk policy, completing compliance training within deadlines.  Logging customer complaints.  Challenge relevance of established business practices and display a solutions focused attitude to all problems faced
• Work with Sales, Credit and Brokers to achieve the AF leasing target for 2020
• Ensure all New Business Agreements are reviewed and checked for completeness within 9 hours (24 hours real time)
• Consistent use and updating of the Work Flow Log, to keep clear records of each stage of the New Business Agreement from Documents received to execution
• General file maintenance and updating Banks accounting system and information databases to enable the production of good quality management information and reporting

Skills and Experience sought:

• A working knowledge of Asset Finance facilities, e.g. Hire Purchase and Finance Lease
• 5 years + experience working for a bank that distributes AF via brokers
• Excellent investigative skills
• A strong understanding of CDD / Financial Crime & AML in the context of AF
• A knowledge of Sentinel, Word and Excel and the ability to manipulate information databases
• Ability to work with figures, manually calculate where necessary and translate information into reports
• Ability to communicate accurately, both written and verbal
• Time management skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure to tight timescales with attention to detail.
