This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office (City of London location) and 2 days working from home.

 

Role Purpose:

 The Bank is moving towards a fully automated, integrated & seamless digital service. This role will:

  • Lead on implementing Enterprise Automation and Integration utilising the latest Microsoft cloud technology and techniques
  • Look across the banking industry and UTB departments to identify, design and build scalable automations & integrations
  • Evaluate technologies to ensure optimal use across the bank
  • Provide leadership, guidance on integration best practice and establish a capability fit for the whole business

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic solutions to provide business efficiencies and drive customer satisfaction
  • Develop and effectively communicate the Integration and Automation roadmap
  • Deliver business value through technology in an efficient and effective manner
  • Design and develop integrations from third party systems using APIs to UTB back-office systems
  • Design and develop Microservices & web applications to support business processes (C#, ASP.NET, JSON)
  • Design and maintain integrations best practises, promote coding standards, best practice & code control

 

Technical Knowledge sought:

  • C#, Azure Functions, Azure ServiceBus, RESTful services, Event Driven / Messaging architecture
  • LogicApps, Azure webapps, REACT or Blazor
  • Azure Devops, CI/CD pipelines and Azure Monitor
  • Familiar with various data integration architectures including Data Lake, Data Mesh, Enterprise Service Bus, Microservices
  • Able to work with data structures including but not limited to xml, json, databases (relational and NoSQL)
  • Familiar with Azure Graph API (likely to need this to interact with other Azure Applications)

 

Skills and Experience sought:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of related .net Azure developer experience
  • Understanding of the retail banking sector and market landscape
  • Strong relationship management experience
  • Ability to identify new technology opportunities in a fast-paced environment
  • Taking best practice from previous experience and implementing it in a highly efficient manner
  • Liaise and coordinate with 3rd party suppliers
  • A passion for delivering positive customer outcomes
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audience
  • Time management skills with the drive and resilience to work under pressure to tight timescales whilst paying attention to detail
