Internal Business Manager | Asset Finance

Job description
This is a hybrid role – 3 days in the office (City of London location) and 2 days working from home.
Role Purpose:
To profitably develop and grow United Trust Bank’s broker channel by aiding external Sales and the relationship management of allocated accounts.
Responsibilities:
- To profitably develop and grow United Trust Bank’s broker channel by aiding external Sales and the relationship management of allocated accounts
- Provision of telephone based sales support to BDM’s and specified, strategic brokers
- Work alongside external BDMs on the growth and account plans on specified, strategic brokers
- To manage and develop assigned broker relationships proactively by telephone, developing incremental business opportunities in line with agreed business strike zones and credit policies
- Achieve agreed sales targets in terms of volume and blended yield
- Attend external broker face to face meetings as and when required
- Promote and train broker on UTB proposition and service to maximise our business share
- Monitor proposal quality and conversion rates taking appropriate action if these are not being met
- Assistance with the production of quotations and credit papers
- Enhance any credit proposal that is deemed worthy of an appeal and to represent the proposal in a professional manner
- Build a strong profile on LinkedIn, grow your network, and Promote UTB AF through this channel
- Timely completion of annual reviews for all brokers allocated
Skills and Experience sought:
- Asset Finance industry experience in a broker/customer facing role
- An excellent knowledge of Asset Finance products, e.g. Hire Purchase and Finance Lease
- Ability to analyse financial information at a basic level and to be able to use data to support a credit application preferred but not mandatory
- Driving license
- A confident, ambitious and stand out character with the ability to build relationships over the phone or in person
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- An organised self-starter encompassing a sales mentality with conviction to proactively canvass for incremental business
- Must demonstrate empathy and an ability to work within a team environment
- A ‘can do’ positive attitude
- Passionate about customer service, UTB and our offering
