United Trust Bank (UTB) Mortgages for Intermediaries has won the award for ‘Best Lender for Second Charge Loans’ at the 2024 Financial Reporter Awards. It is the sixth time UTB has won this award since launching it’s Second Charge Loan offering in 2015.
The Financial Reporter Awards programme, now in its fifteenth year, is designed to promote excellent service and practice in the mortgage industry – and reward those who uphold these values.
The Awards followed the format launched last year, which gives Financial Reporter’s readers – mortgage brokers and intermediaries from across the UK – the final say in selecting the winners. After an initial application and nomination process and a judge’s shortlist, readers had the final vote to determine the award winners.
Rozi Jones, editor of Financial Reporter, commented: “The Financial Reporter Awards are designed to give even more power to the intermediary community, in an awards programme specifically to let their voices be heard.
“As ever, we want to highlight those firms and their employees who have gone above and beyond to support intermediaries through one of the most challenging periods in our industry, and one which is set to continue this year.
“Knowing that the intermediary community has the final say means that winning a Financial Reporter Award is truly deserved and is a testament to those going above and beyond to support advisers.”
Collecting the award on behalf of UTB, Caroline Mirakian, Sales & Marketing Director – Mortgages, said: “What an achievement! Winning this award for the sixth time shows just how consistent we’ve been in delivering great products and service to brokers and customers. I’m delighted for the whole UTB mortgage team that their dedication has been recognised by the industry and, most importantly, by the people we work so hard to support, our fabulous brokers.”
