United Trust Bank (UTB) Asset Finance had a hat-trick to celebrate at the Leasing World 2023 Gold Awards with two major award wins for the division and a ‘Highly Commended’ for Asset Finance Underwriter Essie Quinnell in the ‘Next Generation Award’ category.
The Bank’s Asset Finance team won the ‘Top Specialist Car Funder’ award and the ‘Wraith-Carter Award for Innovation’. The latter, given for the most exciting and innovative product, programme, or business innovation was presented to UTB for the successful implementation of Alfa Start and subsequent integration of the Lending Metrics Auto Decisioning Platform (ADP) within Alfa. The solution enables automated Know Your Customer (KYC) processing and gives UTB an advanced system for delivering automated underwriting decisions.
Nathan Mollett, Head of Asset Finance at UTB, said: “These awards recognise the hard work put in by the whole team to deliver record volumes of new business during a period of significant system changes as well as economic challenge.”
“Our investment in technology, and particularly our replatforming to Alfa Start with the integration of innovative KYC and auto underwriting solutions, has improved our speed and service to brokers and sets us up for further growth next year. Much credit should go to Louise McIntosh and the Operations team who successfully delivered this complex project and somehow managed to balance a high-quality service in “business as usual” operations with managing a very ambitious change programme.
“I would also like to congratulate Essie for her ‘Highly Commended’, the second time she has been recognised this year, and is definitely a rising star with a bright future in the Asset Finance industry.”
