Job description
This is a hybrid role – 3 days in the office (City of London location) and 2 days working from home.
Role Purpose:
To assist Underwriters with the packaging and processing of bridging applications and general administrative duties as required.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Underwriter with day to day administrative tasks, in particular property and identification related searches, and the assembly of files in preparation for sign off by Credit.
- Ensuring that appropriate documents are filed into the Bank’s systems – Aurius and Virtual Cabinet.
- Preparation of Formal Offer Letters
- Initial review of Valuation reports, highlighting any relevant issues to the Underwriter
- Undertaking searches to on board to brokers to the Bank’s panel
- Liaising with Brokers and providing timely progress updates on cases
- Assisting with maintaining accurate loan cash flows
- Arranging and instructing valuations including seeking alternative/best quotes
- Attending client meetings with Underwriters and assisting with preparation of attendance notes
- Adhere to internal underwriting policy and regulatory requirements – FCA, PRA, Money Laundering, Prevention of Financial Crime, Data Protection etc.
- Undertake project and ad-hoc pieces of work at management request
Skills and Experience Sought:
- Very numerate with strong analytical skills with ability to incorporate this into well written reports
- A good team player, willingness to help their team to achieve its goals
- Comfortable working to agreed objectives and using own initiative
- Commitment to high level of customer service
- Ability to prioritise work and competing demands
- Well motivated, committed to doing a good job
